Capstone Presentation Reflection
1. How did it go?
Capstone presentations went well, it was a relief and an awesome feeling to be able to see the final product as well as see what we all had worked so hard for.
2. Was it what I expected?
It was not what I expected it was actually better. The judges were nice and comprehensive and it wasn't as bad or frightening as I thought it was going to be.
3. What if anything would I do differently?
If I would do anything different I would have practiced my speech more because that is what I struggled with the most. My nerves kind of took over so when it came to speaking to the judges since I hadn't really rehearsed I forgot most of the ideas I had to say even with my notes.

Comment on TED video
In the video we watched in class, I liked the visuals and animations they put while the speaker was doing his presentation. The visuals provided a better understanding so i really liked it because when he spoke about measurement it was more interesting learning on how they measured the distance of the earth with a animation and not just with words.

Website so far (Blog entry 3)
Blog Entry 3
How are you going to display the info in your website? Specify the main navigation option:
Titles and a short explanation for what is going to be there
the information that...
I am planning to put on my website (which may change throughout the course of creating my final product for my capstone project) background information over the problem of sitting and general information like charts that show how much time is healthy to remain sitting and when it reaches a limit that can effect the musculoskeletal and a persons health. Therefore one navigation will have statistics and research where I am going to include graphs or charts and so forth. Also I want to put an about tab, that has information referencing to the problem that I am referring to. In addition, the last tab will be my suggested solution to this problem which in my case is a log that can be filled out so that people can manage there time sitting this navigation will reference back to the statistics and research tab so that they know what a healthy amount of time sitting is and where is it that they stand. Lastly, I want to include a physical therapy tab with more insight over my career and how it fits into this problem and how the reader can refer to a physical therapist if the suffer from any musculoskeletal problems.
This is a work in progress, but at this moment this is what I have so far on my poster and the ideas for my website.

Blog Entry B
B. Blog Entry
I. Discuss look and feel issues:
a) Will your presentation use comedy and humor or is it serious?
My subject is mostly serious, however, I want to balance my presentation with some humor, so that looking through the information will catch the viewers view. Although, I want to include humor the likeliness of this is slim. Most likely my presentation will be serious, so that the problem I am presenting will be taken seriously.
b) What colors, fonts, design layouts, graphs, photographs and other imagery are
appropriate for the topic?
An appropriate color for my presentation is Turquoise because the APTA which is the physical therapy association uses this color. Meaning it relates to the colors of the area of career that I am referring to in my capstone project. Fonts are reasonable to the images and background I use. Images illustrating the areas of the musculorskeletal problems that are effected from sitting are appropriate images as well as graphs that illustrate the increase of sedentary lives.
c) How is your site, video and print material persuasive?
it shows the effects of sitting.
d) i am going to use research found on my topic.
e) How do you make your point of view understood?
with elaboration and reasons for the problem.
f) Are you intending to create:
I'm intending to create a turquoise colored website that goes with the APTA website theme colors to associate my career with my website.

My favorite video...
My favorite video watched in IMED was the first video over the Red Cross. I liked this video best because it was dramatic and used good effects. I liked the end where the cross was coming together.

A. Blog Entry:
I. Capstone Project Statement of Intent:
a) Identify the goals of the project.
The goal for my capstone project is to inform people how musculoskeletal as well as health problems can occur because of sitting for long hours with little physical activity.
b) Why is it important and why should we care?
This problem is important to be aware of because most people do no know the effects that sitting can have on a persons health. Another major reason is that most people sit most of the day with little to no intermediate breaks for movement and physical activity.
c) How do these goals fit with your career objectives?
My goals to inform society of a hidden but growing problem is a goal that fits with my career objective of explaining and informing people of therapies or ways to diminish this problem.
d) How does your project give back to society?
My project gives to society by avoiding future health problems as well as musculoskeletal pain.
e) Address the Richland triple bottom line.
